My husband Chris, our four sons and I are very adventurous, out going, and all talented in multiple different directions. Our children are all very involved in different school activities and sports, our family in actively involved with our church and my husband is a mechanical engineer who always has fun projects going on to get the boys going with him. He loves to get outdoors and do extreme hiking, mountaineering and rock climbing (I can’t do any of that anymore with my disability) so as a family we do more of camping and smaller outdoors stuff.

While they are all hiking I’m in my craft room, listening to my music loud and letting my inner talents flow out of me until I realize I’ve played all the way through dinner and past bedtime…. When I get started on the things I enjoy it is difficult for me to stop.

Right now my main focus is wedding items because they are really hot on the market. Not only do I make things to sell for weddings but I have planned out two entire weddings from start to finish now and that is absolutely my favorite! I like making the shabby chic style and country style wedding dΓ©cor, invitations, thank you cards, save the dates, engagement announcements, and I’m getting into photography a bit as well. I have been doing scrapbooking and card making for 15 years now, and quilting and sewing for about 10 years. I’m starting to repurpose clothing, sew bags, hats and more and I’ve also begun refurbishing furniture, household items, antiques and anything else that’s old that I can make look fabulous and bring back to life.

I love my life and thank God everyday for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon my family. My husband and children are wonderful to me and my life is much better than I ever imagined it would be. Getting the opportunity to share this with the world is a great dream of mine
right along with the opportunity to minister to young ladies who have gone through or are going through some of the challenges I have faced in my life; in faith and hope that they too will find redemption and comfort in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for taking the time to be with me, I hope that you continue to follow my blog and my progress. God Bless!

      • Condolences to your best friends who lost their niece. I’m glad I have a blogger to follow who also creates handmade cards. I’d also love to see your Sympathy cards, as I don’t do them as often as ‘birthday’ or ‘get well’ cards. I don’t have a Sizzix machine for die cuts, so I only have a few supplies but I try to be creative as possible with my cards.

      • I will definitely share them when I’m done. Hopefully you will be able to get a Sizzix Bigshot soon. They are well worth the money but I understand starting out we all had to start out somewhere so don’t get discouraged about not having everything right away. I look forward to getting to know each other through our blogs and I will share my Sympathy cards probably on Thursday. My friend had invited my son and I on a trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Washington for the night so I will be back late Wednesday night. I will make my cards and probably to blog about our trip to the water park Thursday. Happy blogging & God Bless! ~Elle~

    • Janice,

When my craft room is back in order I will take pics for sure, but right now we are in the middle of a remodel and guess where everything got thrown…you got it babe…right into my craft room. It’s terrible! I can’t even get in there to get my stuff right now 😦 stay tuned for more fun stuff to come!
